University of Mysore has more placement offer than the Mangalore University.Mangalore University conducts campus placement for students from all departments. The university has a reputation for placing more than 70% of the eligible but Mysore University is having good placement record than that.

University of Mysore conducts Postgraduate Entrance Exam (PGEE) for PG courses admission. PGEE scores are accepted for MSc admission. Candidates have to apply and appear for entrance examinations separately for each program. However, there shall be a single common entrance examination for the following groups of programmes. Aspirants have to qualify in the respective entrance examination by securing a minimum 08 marks in case of SC/ST/ Cat-I candidates, 09 mark in case of OBC and 10 marks in case of other candidates out of 50 marks.

The application form can be filled out in online mode by visiting the university’s official website. During the form filling, candidates must keep the mark sheets and certificates handy. After the conclusion of the application procedure, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the selected students. Mysore University selects candidates for MSc based on PGEE conducted by the university. For MSc Biotechnology, aspirants are selected based on GAT-B score.
