MYRA School of Business Highlights 2022

MYRA School of Business, Mysore was established in 2012 under the aegis of Mysore Royal Academy (MYRA) and is an autonomous self-financed business school. The Institute is approved by AICTE and offers PGDM programme in various specialisations. It also conducts MDPs, PDPs (mentoring programme) and webinars. The School has been Ranked 9 for Vision Ranking (India) and Ranked 34 among Best B-Schools (South) by IIRF Rankings 2021.

The Institute has collaborated with Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, Germany and Catolica Lisbon School of Business and Economics for the student exchange programme.

MYRA School of Business offers PGDM programmes. Exams accepted for admission to PGDM programme are CAT, XAT, GMAT, GRE, NMAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA and MET.

  • Points are awarded to the candidates based on their academics performance and entrance exam score
  • Qualifying candidates are given a Case Analysis to perform basis which the shortlisted candidates are called for a Personal Interview round.
  • All these qualifying factors (Merit Performance, Qualifying Exam scores, Case Analysis and Personal Interview) individually weigh 25% in the final selection

Myra School of Business Cut Offs

Every year Myra School of Business admissions are conducted for the students on the basis of cut off declared by Myra School of Business. Applicants should have at least one valid and qualifying score from CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, NMAT, GMAT, GRE, or MET (MYRA Entrance Test). The entrance test score is an important evaluation criterion for selection and carries a 25% weightage in the admission decision. Also, to be eligible, interested candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate and above, from a recognised institution.
As of now, the cut off has not been released by the school. Shiksha will update the same as soon as it is communicated by Myra School of Business.

Placements: Around 96% of the students from the batch got placed with an average salary package of 7.8 LPA. Top recruiters are Deloitte, ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, Tech Mahindra, Peepal Consulting, and many other marketing and consulting firms. All the students in the college got internships either from the college's industry connections or personal connections to their preferred industry. It was a good college experience here.

Placements: There are good placements, and that depends on the availability of all those attending for placements. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA. The average salary package offered was 6.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. Acer, Sonata Software, Deloitte, HDFC, Reliance, are the top recruiters. All the students are offered roles in marketing, finance, operations, data analytics. Internships are available here.

Education, experience and exposure - That's Myra!

Placements: Myra has provided good opportunities regarding placements. There were companies hiring for different streams like consulting, marketing and sales, finance and HR. It was for the students to choose where they wanted to work. The placement department was very keen on each student.

Absolutely fine because of faculty, infrastructure. Best place to study.

Placements: This year students got places in decent. We will get trained for placement in career guidlines. There are their 1,2 companies came this year. This we got most marketing and sales and operations. I hope it continues with must more compines come in. It's more efficient.

MYRA School of Business Scholarship

The institute offers two different scholarships to students - General and Special in both years. Students have a fair opportunity for being eligible for the scholarships in the second year of the curriculum too.

Following are the details of scholarships offered under the category of PGDM 1 -

General Scholarship

Each student's application to MYRA will be reviewed according to MSB's scholarship criteria, which assigns a score of 10 to each of the four categories – Academic Profile, Entrance Test Score, Case Study Analysis, and Admissions Interview – for a total score of 40.

Special Scholarship

  • Candidates that participate in international sports or extracurricular activities on behalf of their country.
  • Candidates who scored 90 percent or higher on a qualifying entrance exam (CAT – 90 percent or higher, XAT – 90 percent or higher, GMAT – 720 or higher, GRE – 322 or higher, NMAT – 280 or higher).
  • Candidates that are exceptional but have low or no financial resources to pursue their PGDM are considered under the category of merit cum means.

The Scholarship Committee awards this scholarship at the start of the second academic year.

This scholarship will be given to the top three students in terms of CGPA.

General Scholarship

  • All students with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 will be considered for a general scholarship award.
  • Students who violate the honor code will be disqualified.
  • There will be two sorts of scholarships available, one for Rs 50,000 and the other for Rs 100,000.
  • The Scholarship Committee will determine the criteria as well as the amount of prizes to be given out each year.

The education and placements are comparable for both schools. Both have pros and cons. But Mysore is a much better city for higher studies compared to Hyderabad. Location is important!

If you want to do MBA, then go for IBS Hyderabad. It is better in terms of placements and all other facilities.

Yes, one of colleges you can surely go with especially in Noida for Marketing, Finance and HR. Please avoid, if you're thinking to take IT as speciality.
