As you have scored 84 percentile in JEE Mains exam 2019, so you are eligible to participate in the counselling process of JOSAA. Yes, you can get admission in nit srinagar if you participate in the counselling process wisely and smartly and wait till the last round of the counselling.

As per my opinion, chemical engineering would be a better option. It's kind of a more generalized branch comparatively. Also, from job opportunities point of view, chemical engineering would open up more opportunities. Nevertheless, metallurgy branch is good at its own place. So, depending on the availability as per your score, you should choose. I hope this helps. All the Best!

With 84.4 percentile in JEE Mains your expected rank would be above 1-1.5 lakhs all over India which is quite low for getting admission in best colleges of India.
