The annual calculation of tuition fees is done for convenience. Both residents and foreigners pay the same amount in tuition each year at ethz, which starts at 1,200 USD. Some students are given tuition support by the institution through its financial aid programmes. Both residents and visitors can use them.

According to the ETH Domain Fee Ordinance, both Swiss and International students must pay the following tuition and semester fees:

Student fees: CHF 730 per semester

Enrollment in all courses is included in the tuition. It must be paid for both the master's thesis writing semester as well as each ordinary semester.
