Kerala University offers various types of need-based and merit-based scholarships to its students. It offers need-based scholarships to reserved category students. Further, the University of Kerala provides merit-based scholarships to students of MA, MSc, M.Com, MSW, MBA and MCJ programmes. KVASU offers admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate programs through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

The eligibility criteria for BTech at Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University differ based on the course.
