Every stream has an annual intake of 60–120 students, and some streams also offer an evening course with an enrollment of 40 students annually. As a result, there will probably be between 600 and 700 students able to study B.Tech programs at College of Engineering Trivandrum overall.

Admissions are done based on the rank list prepared from the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) Results. The total number of seats is fifty. Furthermore, passing LLB is also a prerequisite for taking admission to the LLM programmes. Thus, one needs to clear all these conditions in order to be considered for admission here. The ease of selection will depend mainly on the rank attained in the entrance test.
