The students need to submit a digital portfolio to show their artistic skill and potential at the University of Edinburgh. Portfolio should show students' creativity and particularly their ideas that focus on the thinking behind the work rather than showing their technique and development as well as finished pieces. Short description of the idea and context of the work must be presented along with the portfolio.

While there are some scholarships available at the university for undergraduate courses. But there are several scholarships available for postgraduate courses such as MA (ECA) Graphic Design and MSc Design and Digital Media at this university.

The Animation course at the University of Edinburgh offers a wide range of techniques and skills to the students.

The Animation courses at University of Edinburgh are studied at primary level but still this programme is deeply connected with the research-based techniques in terms of teaching.
