Bath organises a welcome programme of events for international students, including information sessions, tours of campus and city, and social events. Every Undergraduate student is assigned a peer mentor to help settle into 1st year. Your peer mentor will be studying the same or similar course. For Postgraduate students, before your start your study you can contact your Director of studies to find out about your department mentoring scheme.

Bath has a mix of high street and independent shops. There are many museums and galleries too. Bath is an 1h 20 minutes away from London by train and 12 minutes from Bristol. It is also the gateway to the South West of England and you can easily visit the Jurassic coast of Dorset, Devon or Stonehenge only 45 minutes drive from campus.

All full-time postgraduate taught offer-holders from India will have been eligible to apply for one or more postgraduate taught scholarship available across our Faculty and School of Management master's programmes. For undergraduate study our scholarships completely depend on academic excellence so this can vary year to year. If the grade requirements for a scholarship are met, then an award is made.

For 2025 entry, University of Bath scholarships available for prospective postgraduate taught students in India ranged between £5,000 and £10,000. Students may have been eligible to apply for and studyawarded more than one scholarship, e.g. up to £15,000, which would have been applied as a tuition fee discount. For undergrduate we offer two merit-based scholarships to new first-year international undergraduates which can provide a tuition fee reduction of between £1,000 and £8,000. This is for the first year of study only. There is no application process.
