The UWS rankings are released by many of the ranking bodies in the world. As per the most-followed ranking body like the QS rankings, this university is ranked #378 in Europe in 2026.
As per the Times Higher Education 2026 rankings, the University of West of Scotland is ranked #601 in 2026 which is constant from 3 years.

For admission to BNU UK, Indian students are required to have the following scores in their studies-
- UG: Must have passed Class 12 with an overall score of 65%
- PG: A Bachelor's degree is required with minimum 55% - 70%
IELTS score of 6.0 - 6.5 is required for studies as well. Waiver for English language proficiency is also there provided Indian students have achieved 70% - 75% in Class 12 English subject.

For short distances (to towns like Hatfield, St Albans, and Watford) local buses and campus shuttles are better. These cost as low as GBP 1 (INR 129)/ride.
For longer travel, the UK's rail network is the better choice. A 16-25 Railcard can be used to travel for GBP 35 (INR 4.5 K) per month, and avail an 30-33% discount.
