The University of Derby provides overseas students with scholarship opportunities. The bulk of scholarships are given out in accord with the merit and academic excellence of the applicants. They include, among others:
Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship - International undergraduate and graduate students who have excelled academically are eligible for the vice chancellor's scholarship. Students receive one year's worth of tuition for the programmes they choose.

For Indian Students, the entry requirements are as follows –
For Undergraduate courses
1) a score of at least 70% in Standard XII
2) With a minimum score of 75%, University of Derby will accept English from the CBSE, CICSE, and Maharashtra boards.
For Postgraduate courses
1) Bachelor's degree earned from government- or NARIC-recognized institutions
2) The requirements will change based on the institution's recognition and the grading system being employed. Applications are evaluated on an individual basis.

Every year, University of Derby’s halls community provides free beds, kitchens, and welcome kits to students from all over the world. The team will go above and beyond to assist international students in adjusting to the new surroundings. They are incredibly nice and helpful.
