Andhra University has a better national ranking and accreditation, perhaps because its campus is somewhat bigger and has better equipment. It also has a larger number of fields of study that one can pursue. However, JNTU Kakinada provides an education setting that is more personal than the one in VIT Vizag, and has comparatively smaller classes and more focused attention by the members of the faculty. This is equivalent to a relatively improved performance of students in matters such as placements. Admission to IIM Visakhapatnam is conducted through CAT percentile. As per the cutoff released, 92 percentile was qualifying cutoff for CAT to get an admission into IIM Visakhapatnam. With the growing competition, it is assumed that 92 percentile won't get a selection in the upcoming admission sessions. So, getting a percentile of more than 92 is crucial. Students with minimum 45% marks at Class 12 from a recognised board are eligible for BCom admission. However, students should clear the cut-off based on the merit in Class 12. In case a candidate is unable to clear the cut-off set by Andhra university, they can check out other colleges offering online BCom courses

To be eligible to pursue MCA at GITAM, applicants are required to have scored at least 50% in BCA/bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering. A relaxation of 5% in the eligibility requirement is given to the candidates belonging to the resereved categories. Hence, candidates scoring less than 60%, but over 50% are eligible to apply for the programme. MSc admission at GITAM are entrance-based. But Riyali Institute of Management offers better and wide sector of opportunities for students to grow and expand. The RIM placements help students in overall growth and development.
