GITAM SOT provides merit-based scholarships to BA students qualifying the GAT (GITAM Admission Test). The highest amount of scholarship is the exemption of 100% of total fees. This scholarship amount is awarded to students scoring more than or equal to 85 percent marks in the GITAM Admission Test. GITAM allows its BA students to choose minors that align with their interests. This allows students to choose the subjects that align with their career paths. GITAM School of Technology conducts its common GITAM Admission Test (GAT). Students seeking admission to BA courses at GITAM must appear for the aforementioned examination. After the result declaration of GAT, the admission committee of the institute prepares a rank list based on the GAT scores. Students are selected based on their respective rank and seat intake.

GITAM School of Technology admits students to its BA courses based on merit in the GAT exam. This exam is generally held in many different cycles. For GITAM GAT Cycle 5 the results will be announced on 30 May, 2024. Once the results are out, the college will begin its counselling process. Students who qualify for the GAT exam will be eligible for the counselling process.

BA at GITAM School of Technology is a three years undergraduate programme. The course is offered with six different specialisations. Admission to each of specialisation is made based on students' scores in the GAT (Gitam Admission Test). In order to be eligible for the GAT exam, a student must have obtained 50 percent marks in Class 12 in any discipline.
