It was ranked 601-800 in the world by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings of 2018, 127 in Asia and 99 among BRICS & Emerging Economies University Rankings in 2017.

Yes, you can apply for the Jadavpur University and wait for the counselling. You will definetly got a seat in it. The counselling starts from July 1st week.
