1. JGEC is a government institute whereas Techno India is private. This means the total expenditure in JGEC (including college and mess fees for 4 years) is about 1.8-2.5 Lacs for non core department and less than 1.5 Lacs for core departments. But in Techno India, it is around 4 Lacs- only the college fees for four years.
2. JGEC is one of the best government institutes in West Bengal.
3. JGEC has scenic beauty but is away from Kolkata. Techno India is in Kolkata.
4. Placements are more or less the same in state engineering colleges. JGEC has about 60-

Admission is based on the marks obtained in 10+2. Minimum Eligibility to Apply is a poss mark of 60% in class 12 exams and Candidate must have passed 10+2 with pass marks in any four of the following subjects in Physics/ Chemistry/Mathematics/ Biology/ Agronomy.
