You need to apply directly to the firms that you want to work with and hope that you get an interview call and if everything goes well, you'll be able to grab the desired job.
Nowadays, most universities are having some form of placements, they are still in their infancy and hardly two or three companies will come looking for candidates. In most cases, these companies will be project management companies such as L&T or large scale developers such as Sobha builders.

Well, the choice between these two colleges is not difficult as per me as both of them are not much known for law as such though are good institutes. However, VIT University, Chennai is much preferred for B.Tech courses and also, it has better infrastructure, faculties and placements.
Now, if you were to choose between these two, then on the basis of faculties, infrastructure and the placements, VIT would be a good choice.
They have some very good recruiters for other fields of education which makes it likely to have good placement for law as well.
Also, the infrastructure is amazing which certainly helps you throughout your year

Well, the on campus placements opportunities for law students from Hooghly Mohsin College are nil as of now.
However, you can expect to get a degree in law and as the faculties for law are quite experienced owing to their high qualifications. Also, you can expect a good academics. However, the college still doesn't have separate building for law section and thus lacks in infrastructure facilities as well. Moreover, the course offered is 3years LLB traditional course which again doesn't attract recruiters.
