In case you don't get your desired college, don't settle for something mediocre. Instead of settling down for some mediocre college, it would be better, if you try for some good private university. Many reputed private universities are offering B.Tech CSE. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of JEE scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even offer direct admission on basis of class 12 marks. Some of the universities also offer scholarships on basis of your performance in class 12 or JEE or even during the course. You can check the details of any of the reputed universities like VIT, Lovely, SRM, etc. All these universities have wonderful infrastructure and world-class facilities to offer to students apart from good placements. If you have good thorough conceptual knowledge from the Pre-University subjects Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry it surely forms the foundation for any entrance exam including COMEDK. Basics are the most important to start with. If you have already prepared for another state level entrance exam, or even better AIEEE and IIT-JEE, etc. You will surely be confident. No doubt. Having said all this, it surely makes sense and a difference to prepare exclusively for COMEDK too. And the 1- month strategy should include mock tests, mock tests and more mock tests. Reviewing previous years papers helps a lot. And stressing more on subjects and specific topics in each subject that you are personally weaker in than compared to others is important. Say 1 week - 6 tests for each of the subjects and 2 additional tests for difficult ones should be the balance. And since time is very important, while you practice plan how to decide the order. By looking at questions are you able to decide which is easy, which is medium difficult and which is challenging? If not, work on it and choose the order of solving. Easy to difficult is a recommended route. Each time you sample a question different from the others, along with answering it, note the concept behind it. And after the test, revise that particular concept again. Needless to say, know the pattern and evaluation thoroughly. Read it multiple times so you don't forget it. Be aware of the syllabus
And if you can lay hands on the latest edition of official practice material of any sorts, even brilliant. But don't miss even a single day in practice. Regularity, consistency and being in a state of mind kind of helps.
