Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration in Kolkata provides admission to the students on the basis of merit which is prepared by the marks obtained in higher secondary (12th grade) examination or equivalent. For taking admissions in undergraduate courses such as B.Com (Hons), BBA, etc., generally, a merit list is prepared and no direct admissions are there.

The college, Dhananjayearao Gadgil College of Commerce by Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, does not offer 100% placement. Data available reflects that the percentage of placement in MBA is around 27.34%. In the last year, 517 students appeared, and out of them, 143 got placed. This clearly shows that the college has a placement cell and jobs are also available, but 100% placement is not so common. Students are advised to be very proactive in internships and use campus resources to make them very attractive to employers.

Eligibility Criteria The minimum eligibility criteria are a degree in any stream from recognised universities with at least 50% marks, which is quite common and quite easy to be achieved for the majority of students.
The curriculum would be industry relevant so that the process of learning is job ready for the students to make it more interesting and applicable.
