Eligibility of Master of Computer Applications:
Graduation in any stream is the basic eligibility for MCA. The eligibility for qualifying marks in graduation differs from institute to institute. Most of the institutes require 45% to 50 % aggregate marks in qualifying exam for taking admission. Reserved categories get some relaxation in aggregate percentage. Apart from this there is another prerequisite for taking admission in MCA degree, one must have studied mathematics in 10+2 as a compulsory subject.

If you are asking in terms for class 12th then IP and CS are same. These two subjects are really helpful if you have interest in doing BCA. If you haven't studied these subjects then don't worry you'll still be able to get admission into BCA colleges without any problem. But if you have a chance to study these 2 subjects then you definitely should go for these subjects as it'll be much more easier for you to score good marks in your BCA course. The eligibility criteria is different for every college and university. So, you might need to check the website of the college from which you want to pursue your BCA. The general eligibility criteria for BCA is that a candidate must have scored atleast 45% in their +2. Candidates can be from any stream.
