York College—CUNY is a public institution that was founded in 1966. According to US News and World Report, the college ranked #139 in Regional Universities North, #52 in Top Public Schools, and #69 in Top Performers on Social Mobility. The top majors at CUNY York College are Business, Accounts, Psychology, Social Work, and Nursing. The college offers several accredited programs, including the only accredited Master of Social Work (MSW) program in Queens and a top-rated aviation management track. One of the notable alumni of York College is Malika Christopher who serves as the Nutrition & Health Services Manager at the Food Bank for NYC.
