Getting admission to BTech in Computer Engineering is the most competitive among all the BTech specialisations offered at DDU Nadiad. In 2024, the closing rank at which the applicants were admitted to DDU's BTech in Computer Science was 9,00,138, which was the lowest among other specialisations. The cut-off ranks for other BTech specialisations ranged between 9,00,811 and 9,02,909. This trend has continued for past three years. The closing ranks at which admission to BTech in Computer Science was provided in 2023 and 2022 were 9,00,022 and 9,00,037, respectively.

GUJCET is the accepted entrance exam for BTech admission at Dharmsinh Desai University. The exam is conducted in March. The exam date changes every year. The exam date for GUJCET 2026 has been announced by the conducting body, i.e. GSEB. The exam will be conducted on March 29, 2026.

At DDU Nadiad (Gujarat), there are 660 seats for various BTech specialisations. 50% of these seats are filled through ACPC counselling, based on the applicants' merit in GUJCET. The remaining 50% of the seats filled by the university under the NRI/Management Quota. Admission to these seats is also based on the applicant's merit in GUJCET. However, seats are allotted to the applicants without the ACPC counselling. Such candidates must submit their online application directly at the university's official website.
