Dental school can be nearly as challenging as Medical school. The considerable amount of studying required of dental school students causes many of them to suffer. It contains a wealth of Dental knowledge that must be applied in practice in addition to being memorised.

The only professional Dental programme that is frequently chosen in India is BDS. Cadidates who are interested in becoming Dentists at either private or public hospitals must complete it.
The only recognised professional Dental course in India is the 5-year undergraduate BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) programme. Following the BDS programme, students graduate as doctors. Students who want to become dentists at public or private hospitals must take this course. Aside from UG and PG education in dentistry many universities and institutions offer candidates short term Diploma and certificate courses also.
Students must have a Class 12 degree with Biology as core subject in order to enrol in an undergraduate level Diploma or certificate programme. A bachelor's degree in Dentistry is required for postgraduate Diploma or certificate programmes.

Yes, but the candidate needs to be qualified in NEET-MDS.
Eligibility Criteria is as follows :-
- Candidates should have completed their Undergraduate Dental education in India from a dental college/institute duly recognised as per the provisions of the Dentists’s Act, 1948.
- Completion of Compulsory Rotatory Internship by 31st march of current year.
- Obtained permanent registration with the Dental Council of India or any of the State Dental Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of admission.
- All Candidates should be qualified in NEET - MDS.
- Admission to the course shall be based on National Eligibility Cum Entr
