On Cutoffs
Q:   What is the opening and closing rank for BDS at KGMU - King George's Medical University?
A:

The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, the opening rank was 20731 and the closing rank was 25581. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at KGMU - King George's Medical University is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam NEET. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying for while checking for cut-offs.

Q:   Can I get into KGMU with a 40000 rank?
A:

Securing a general category seat with an overall national rank of 40,000 is kind of impossible for MBBS programme at King George's Medical University. General category cutoff ranks usually close within the top few thousand nationally due to extreme demand. Certain reserved categories or specialised horizontal quotas might see seats at relaxed ranks, but competition remains high for everyone.

Q:   Can I get into KGMU MBBS with a high rank?
A:

Yes, achieving a high rank on the competitive entrance exam is the exact requirement to enter MBBS course at King George's Medical University. In the Indian medical counselling context, a high rank means a very low rank number, placing you among the top national scorers. Top-tier rank holders pick this college early during choice filling, causing seats to fill up incredibly fast.

Q:   Can I get admission at KGMU in MBBS if my rank is between 1000 and 1100?
A:

KGMU NEET UG Round 1 cutoff for KGMU Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is 1097 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this.

With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting KGMU admission to MBBS.

KGMU. The white academic palace.
Placements: There is no such thing as placement in medical colleges. All the students get the opportunity for internships in the college itself, which is mandatory for everyone. After this, the students go their own path, like if they want MS, if they want to open a clinic of their own, or work in a private hospital.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are quite modern and comfortable, equipped with the latest facilities like smart boards, whiteboards, centralised air conditioning, and Wi-Fi for all. There are various classrooms with different seating capacities, like 250, 450, and a maximum of 650. The labs are well-equipped with all the required facilities. The anatomy department has quite a good number of cadavers; it's like a 1:10 ratio. The hostels are also quite good, while the food here may become a slight issue sometimes, but it's still better than the food at other colleges.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and easy to approach, but as a few departments are quite busy, the professors are not able to give full attention. However, they try their best. Both theoretical and clinical knowledge provided is top-notch. The patient load is great here, so one gets to learn a lot from a variety of cases. Exams are not that tough. They are easier to pass. Yearly exams are held at the end of the session. Both theory and practice are given equal weightage.
Other: So many events and fests are conducted throughout the year. To name a few, there is the annual fest RHAPSODY, which is a lavish 3-day event. Apart from this, sports fests like DRONA, GEORGEIAN PREMIER LEAGUE, Saraswati Pooja, and more are conducted every year. Lots of conferences are also organised every year.

Excellent clinical exposure, supportive faculty, and vibrant campus life.
Placements: MBBS courses in government medical colleges in India, including MLNMC Prayagraj, do not offer traditional campus placements like engineering or management institutes. Medical graduates are required to undergo a Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship for one year. After this, there is a bond of two years to serve as a government doctor in rural hospitals and PHC centres. After this, some graduates take the NEET PG exam and secure a seat in MD/MS courses to pursue post-graduation. Some graduates directly apply as general physicians in private hospital, PHCs, Tutors, and some open their own clinics.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. There is no Wi-Fi facility. The laboratories are well-equipped for Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, and Pharmacology, with modern microscopes, specimens, and simulation models for hands-on learning. There are projectors in class with enough seats. There is a central library that offers all the required books. The hostel provides two individuals in one room. The message quality is good, but a little expensive. There is enough space for games and sports.
Faculty: All teachers at MLN Medical College are highly qualified, holding MD/MS in their respective fields, with years of experience in teaching and clinical practice. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is amazing. The MBBS curriculum adheres to the CBME framework. It makes the study interesting and useful for medical practice. Professional exams consist of theory papers, practical/viva boards, and internal assessment. The level is moderately difficult, balancing conceptual clarity and application. In our batch, the pass percentage is 97 percent.
Other: Our batch has 200 students with 130 boys and 70 girls. The MBBS course was chosen for its practical skill development, broad knowledge base, and direct pathway to serving the community as a medical professional. Every year, the students organise an annual fest named Euphoria. The college is situated in the central area of Prayagraj. The college conducts various webinars and comes for research purposes.

Virtual trip to college, the journey to a world where you can make your career.
Placements: B.Sc. nursing offers patient care and protects the rights of patients. It also helps in assisting the surgeons in OT. This course is not limited to the hospital only, we can also work as community workers. We can also act as advocates for nurses. We can help the patients in their low times and develop therapeutic relationships.
Infrastructure: The college campus is not spacious. No Wi-Fi is available for students. We have double seated room in the hostel. Mess is compulsory for everyone, which makes it difficult for some students to pay the mess fee, as their economic condition is not so good, and for that reason, they have to leave the hostel. The lecture theatre is air-conditioned and spacious.
Faculty: Faculty is skilled and knowledgeable. Sometimes the classes are vacant. The difficulty of the exam varies from student to student, as it depends on students' preparation.
Other: I chose it because it's the best career option, and more job opportunities available. The campus is pollution-free and well-equipped. An annual fest is organised every year. Sports competitions and dance competitions are also organised.

My dream came true.
Placements: The total batch is of 200 students, including both male and female, who are selected through an all-India level examination. It provides both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in various medical departments, and our college is ranked around 9000.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not so good; it is a very old college. The library facility in our college, which is common to all classrooms, is not so good. It is old, but the teaching is the best. The campus is all green. I think if you love greenery, then it is the best college to attend.
Faculty: Teachers are among the best in our college; they hold very responsible positions in the country. They make the topics so easy to understand that it becomes cakework. Many hard topics become very easy. They also explain the clinical topics in such a way that you learn everything very easily.
Other: Fest is celebrated every year in our college, which is known as Euphoria. The fee structure of our college is Rs. 24,000 for general students. Campus greenery is very good, and seniors are supportive.

It is very refreshing and is away from the traffic. The hospital is separate. The hostel is a little bit old. The infrastructure is a little old and not so good...
