Yes, IIT Bombay accepts UCEED score for BDes admission. The category-wise rank obtained in UCEED indicates the candidate’s position in the respective category at the time of the result declaration. A merit list is released with the names of shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted candidates have to register for counselling with a non-refundable application fee of INR 4,000. They have to provide their institute order preference. The institute conducts three rounds of seat allocation. The seats are allocated based on the applicant's All India Rank in UCEED 2024. Shortlisted aspirants will be sent provisional allotment letters via their registered email. Candidates need to pay a seat acceptance fee to confirm their admission.

A minimum of Class 12 is required to apply for BDes course at IIT Bombay. Below is the detailed eligibility:

• Candidates should have been born on or after Oct 1, 1999., if belonging to Open/ EWS/ OBC-NCL Category and on or after October 1, 1994, if belonging to SC, ST or PwD Category.
• Aspirants should have obtained a rank in UCEED. A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years. UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.
• Candidates need to pass all five subjects in Class 12 or equivalent. Those who have appeared for the first time in the qualifying exam in 2022 or earlier are not eligible.

IIT Bombay admission to BDes course includes various steps. Starting with registration to entrance exam, counselling and seat allotment. Before jumping to application, candidates must also check their eligibility. Any candidate who have completed Class 12 can apply for BDes course. 

Step 1: Registration

Candidates need to apply online for BDes course with an application fee of INR 3,800 for open and INR 1,900 for reserved category. The common application form will be available through the IIT Bombay Admissions Portal. 

Step 2: Selection

The selection to BDes course is based on UCEED rank. A merit list is prepared based on UCEED rank of the candidates.

Step 3: Counselling

Once shortlisted, candidates need to register for counselling. The seat are alloted based on the UCEED rank of the candidates. Aspirants must pay the fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

• IIAD DAT: The Indian Institute of Art & Design Aptitude Test (IIAD DAT) is a national level entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Design (NID) for admission to IIAD.
• NIFT Entrance Exam: One of India's most esteemed design schools is called NIFT, or National Institute of Fashion Technology. For entry into undergraduate (Bachelor in Design, Bachelor of Fashion Technology) and postgraduate (Master of Fashion Technology, Master in Design) programs in India, NIFT holds entrance exams once a year.
• FDDI AIST: Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) conducts the FDDI AIST entrance exam for admitting candidates to the BDes, BBA, M.Des, and MBA courses. Candidates seeking admission to these courses need to duly fill out and submit the application form before the last date.
• UCEED: The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design is a national level entrance exam conducted by IIT Bombay for admission to  BDes program at the following participating institutes: IIT Bombay,  IIT Delhi,  IIT Guwahati,  IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur. 
• SEED: Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design is a university level entrance exam conducted by the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) for admission to BDes programs at its participating institutes.
