No, The Design Village Noida application fee is non-refundable. Hence, whether the candidate appear for the exam or take part in the admission process or not, the fee is not refunded by the institute.

IIIT Kancheepuram offers three specialisations for MDes programme, Product Design, Mechanical System Design, and, Communication System Design. Admission to these specialisations is entrance-based and depends on candidates' performance in the Common Entrance Exam for Design, popularly known as CEED, conducted by  IIT Bombay. Also before applying to the programme, candidates need to qualify the eligibility criteria: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Design/ Architecture (under 10+2+4 years regular) with a minimum aggregate of 60% (55% aggregate in case of SC/ ST/ PwD) or equivalent grades in the qualifying degree.

No, in below two situations, candidates are exempted from appearing for SMEAT:

  • Applicants who have taken UCEED examination can choose to exempt from Test 1 if their All India Rank is 600 or below provided they are able to submit their result at the time of application.
  • Aspirants who have taken the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and scored a composite score of 1,100 or above can choose to exempt from Test 1 provided they are able to submit their result at the time of application.
