Eligibility for BA programs at Bharathiar University Distance Education requires candidates to have passed 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent examination from a recognised board. Applicants with 10th and a 3-year Diploma are also eligible. For those without formal 10+2 education, the open university system allows admission to candidates aged 18 years and above, provided they pass the university preliminary examination. There is no upper age limit for admission.

Distance BA in Social Work and Online BA in Social Work are the same course offered in different modes of education. In a distance or correspondence BA in Social Work course you can appear directly for semester exams without attending regular classes. Though in some colleges you may have to attend seminar classes. In online BA in Social Work you will be attending live online lectures or learning through recorded lectures. Your semester exams will also be conducted in online mode

The distance BA in International Relations and online BA in International Relations are the same courses offered in different modes of education. Though a BA in International Relations is more popular compared to these two courses, it is expected that over the years distance and online modes will gain more prominence. In distance BA in International Relations course, you can directly appear for semester exams without attending classes. In online mode, you will attend classes in online mode.
