Hi, it can be observed that pursuing distance BA in West Bengal can be quite inexpensive as most of the colleges have an average tuition fee of less than INR 1 lakh.

The deadlines for Directorate of Distance Education, Kurukshetra University BA admissions is scheduled in the month of April for the January session and the month of October for the July session. The last date for Directorate of Distance Education, Kurukshetra University BA admissions is the 31st of both the aforementioned months. Applications after this period will incurr a late admission fee on the candidates.

Yes, distance BA is a valid course. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). There are many reputed government and private colleges that offer BA courses in distance mode of education. IGNOU, Vardhman Mahaveer Open University,
School of Open Learning, University of Delhi, Netaji Subhas Open University and Tamil Nadu Open University are some government colleges that offer Distance BA courses. Institute of Distance Education, University of Madras, Dr. C.V. Raman University, Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth and SRM Institute of Science and Technology are some private colleges that provide distance or correspondence BA

Both are Bachelor of Arts courses in different education modes. Regular BA programme involves campus learning in colleges of India while Distance BA programme includes distance learning with the help of video classes and other resources without the need of attending classroom.
The syllabus and course details are almost similar for both Distance BA and Regular BA courses. To know which course is better, students can refer to the following table.

It is totally fine to pursue two different courses simultaneously through different modes, Only thing is that you have to take care of Institutes recognition . Both institutes should be approved by the government and follow all the guidlines set by the government. if you want to do higher studies, Some institutes may not allow you to study because you pursued two courses together. You should always check for it.

To convert your distance BA to a regular BA, you need to check if your university allows migration from distance to regular mode. Some universities permit this under specific conditions. Distance BA in Social Work and Online BA in Social Work are the same course offered in different modes of education. In a distance or correspondence BA in Social Work course you can appear directly for semester exams without attending regular classes. Though in some colleges you may have to attend seminar classes. In online BA in Social Work you will be attending live online lectures or learning through recorded lectures. Your semester exams will also be conducted in online mode
