The fee for distance BA course according to IGNOU is approximately 6000 rupees. This is the biggest government university in India for distance education.

Presently, you are doing B.A. On a regular basis from a college and now you want to do B.A from distance education. Right? Yes, you can. Just download brochure cum application form of IGNOU or your desired open university, fill it up, submit and you're on your path of BA via distance education.

No course of distance education is exactly contactless. One has to submit assignments. Of course, nowadays many universities are accepting these in an online format to avoid problems of storage and disposal of physical submission. Some universities have shifted to an online mode of exam also. But yes, you can do a complete course sitting at home. In fact, this is the USP of the distance education format.

There seems to be some confusion in your mind. Normally speaking, distance education means that you will not be joining any college but studying in your free time at home. You need only to download brochure cum application form, fill it up and submit online. You get registered and the process begins. That's all.
