There are two aspect of this question. One is around IGNOU and another is around distance education. IGNOU is trusted and accredited government distance education university. To be very honest, no. Most of the companies require full time graduates. Doing a BCA in correspondence can give you a degree but not jobs.

Yes, you can pursue BCA but remember that every university will not be able to provide you admission. There are some selected universities which provide admission to candidates with a lower percentage. I'd recommend you to pursue BCA from a regular college and not via distance education. Some universities like CCS University can offer you admission.

If you have taken the admission for this session, then your exams will take place in December. And, if you haven't taken the admission, then you will be able to take admission for next session in December- January, and exams for this would be conducted in June 19.

Hi. The minimum duration for B.Ed through distance education is two years, however, the maximum duration five years. Admission to the distance mode programme is merit-based. Candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate in the undergraduate programme in any discipline and 55% in postgraduate programme. So, you are eligible. Thanks!

BCA is a professional degree which will train you on subjects like database, networking, data structure, core programming languages like C and Java which are subjects learnt better with practical training. A distance education will give you a degree but not give you adequate training required to land a job in the market. Or, if you are a person already working in the field of programming or related domain and is earning well or cannot stop earning due to personal reasons and wish to pursue higher studies, wants a degree to further develop your career, then you may go ahe
