Yes, BA Economics is a suitable course. Only if you are interested in studying the efficient allocation of society's resources for social stability. The course tends to have a modern and progressive approach. There is no such thing as a 'good' course. It only depends on the individual's interests and goals.

Yes, candidates who have completed a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or any other branch of engineering can pursue a BA Economics. They should have secured at least 50% marks as it is an essential eligibility criterion to be fulfilled to secure admission to BA Economics.
The candidates should make an informed decision as the choice of a bachelor’s degree would determine one’s career path. Those who do not wish to pursue a B.E./BTech or a BCA can opt for a Humanities course such as BA Economics.

As many colleges require it for undergraduate programs, you can apply for admission based only on your CUET score. If you don't meet the CUET requirements, though, some schools offer management quota seats, which might let you in based on your performance on the entrance exam or your Class 12 grades. The specific admissions requirements of the colleges you are interested in should be carefully examined, as they can differ greatly

Both BCom Honours and Economics Hons in DU offer good placements, with BCom possibly edging out slightly:
BCom Hons:
- Average placement slightly higher than Economics Hons.
- Focus on practical skills like accounting, finance, and taxation, sought after by companies.
- Wider range of job opportunities in finance, banking, accounting, consulting, etc.
Economics Hons:
- Excellent foundation for further studies like MBA, IAS, etc.
- Strong analytical and research skills valued by consulting firms, think tanks, etc.
- Lower starting salaries compared to BCom Hons initially, but can reach similar levels with experience.

No, it is not compulsory. Howevr, it is an added advantage if the student studied Maths in Class 12. Mathematics is a core subject for BA Economics at Jindal School of Government and Public Policy, and there are various courses purely based on the mathematical arena. Math and statistics are used in economics.
