Sorry but with music honors, there is no option of selecting economics as a subject. The syllabus generally covers music subjects like Musicology, Stage Performance, Theory of Indian Music, and many more. You can have a look at the syllabus of the college where you wish to apply.

Dear Manish,
That's very fascinating problem that you have passed commerce and hates all the core subject viz, accounts, economics, and business. Since you are interested in Maths only. There is no subjects in the continuation of Commerce, which does not includes all these. So, you have to compromise and along with Maths, you have to study at least one other these. The best options could be Maths & Finance Hope, this helps. Ask any query any time.

If by scope, you mean package or placement, it will ultimately depend upon how well you perform in it. How well you perform will depend upon your interest in the subject. Maths and economics hons. are totally different. One thing is true that economic hons has more practical Maths as compared to Maths hons., which only has theory.

Yes, For B.com (hons) course, you have the 'option' to opt for economics i.e., it's not going to be a core paper. It's an elective subject and not mandatory. If you wish to study economics as one of your subjects you can choose it as your elective, else there are other subjects (political science, Calculus, Physical Education, etc.).
