To be eligible for MA in economics, you need to have given JNUEEE exam and you should have obtained a Bachelor's degree in economics (Hons.) with mathematics as subsidiary subject or mathematics (Hons.) with economics as a subsidiary subject or statistics (Hons.) with mathematics and economics as subsidiary subjects securing 50% marks in aggregate or any other Bachelor's degree with 60% marks with economics and mathematics as subjects from any recognised university.

To be eligible for an MA Course in Economics, you should have completed your Bachelors in economics or a related subject, so you may not be eligible to pursue B.A. Economics in most colleges. However, there are many distance/correspondence courses in economics which you can pursue. Please check for eligibility from the criteria mentioned below:
Eligibility for MA Economics:
Interested aspirants for Economics degree must fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria.
BA (Hons) in Economics subject

Hi Naina,
Master of Arts in Economics or MA Economics is a 2-year full-time or distance learning post-graduation programme to sharpen student's dexterity in areas of finance and management. The minimum eligibility criterion required for Master's degree is 50% aggregate in Bachelor's degree in any discipline. So yes, you are very much eligible for the course.

Normally, you have to apply for this course after you have completed your board exams, as selection is done on marks obtained in the board exams. Forms are available in the month of June and July every year. Candidates need to purchase form along with prospectus and have to submit as per the guidelines prescribed in that prospectus. To get direct admission, candidates need to score high marks at 10+2 level and on the basis of marks obtained and personal interview candidate will be shortlisted for the selection.
Selection will be done on the basis of cut off merit list prepared by the colleges but in some colleges there can be entrance

Some universities take admission on merits basis like Delhi University.
Some universities take admission through entrance basis like Manav Rachna, Jamia Millia Islamia etc.

This won't be possible, as the criteria for eligibility for economics honors in Delhi University requires you to have studied Maths in class 12th.
