For the BSc course, candidates are selected based on merit and for the MSc course aspirants must appear for an in house entrance exam. Students should complete Class 12 as the basic eligibility criteria for degree course and graduation for postgraduate courses. The duration of the MEd. course at KJ Somaiya College of Education is two years, divided into four semesters. Moreover, to get admission into this course, candidates must complete BEd/ BA BEd/ BSc BEd/ BElEd/ DElEd with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Moreover, the selection process is based on entrance exams. Therefore, the school accepts the relevant scores from MAH-MEd-CET/ CUET/ PERA-MEd-CET/ any other state level MEd CET. Followed by a PI.

The eligibility requirements for admissions to B.Ed courses are that candidates must complete their bachelor's degree/master's degree from a recognised university with an aggregate of 50%. The field of History/ Geography/ Economics/ Political Sciences/ Psychology/ Philosophy/ Education/ Library.
