Dear, IERT is a good government college having good academics and infrastructure but the college lags somewhere in placement procedure.

At this rank you cannot get any good private or government college. I will suggest you to take direct admission either in AKGEC, ABES EC, JSS Noida or in RKGIT or IMS Ghaziabad. These colleges have good reputation in AKTU for their academics and placements.

Generally every college has admissions and placement cell. So talk to the contact persons from the department to know about placements that are offered. What companies visit the campus, what dates and what is the eligibility, everything will be notified through the college placements. Placement cell also informs about Pool campus and off campus opportunities happening outside of the college. For freshers, when each company visits, mostly the package is discussed in general. Even if it varies, it depends on the special role offered to any candidate and his or her abilities.

Yes, nowadays people look for companies or higher packages. That's what the primary concern is. It is little bit difficult to find core jobs. People try to get enter in companies first means they want job whether in core field or communication field (as in case of ECE). In my opinion you should first go for job whether in core field or not. Because you will get to know the environment and job experience. And then you can switch to any core field and get more packages as well. Just go for experience first. Best of luck.

Placements of any university or establishment including Amity University are dependent on the economic and financial condition of the country and of that industry worldwide as a whole. In India, at least the jobs availability for Aeronautical engineers he is a bit less. Hence, Amity University also will be constrained to place its students of this branch year after Year. UPES has offered handsome packages in CS branch. As there are many specializations, the package varies from branch to branch. The highest package offered was around INR. 16 Lacs per annum. In my knowledge, the maximum package in MMM from ON campus placement has been about INR. 6.5 lacks per annum. Although people have gone for higher packages in the off campus placement. What eventually matters is the ability rather than the college. So, choose wisely.
