The only way you can truly understand and master the electronics and communication field is through practical work. Basics of electronics should be clear (first couple year's curriculum). I guarantee you'll face difficulties later on if you're not clear with basics. Start working on the latest techs of the field as soon as you can. With the pace that the technology is advancing, it is highly probable that you'll be taught something that has been replaced half a decade ago. (I was studying analog TV). To know what techs to choose, contact your final year seniors and alumni. Pick a faculty or two and make their professional life a nightm

Looking at the outstanding facilities, quality education and lucrative opportunities offered, UPES Dehradun is worth it. However, you will only realize this worth only when you make the most of the facilities of UPES. There are highly qualified teachers, an active placement cell and various extra-curricular clubs where you can take your potential to the next level. While the professors will help you become master of your course, the placement cell will ensure that you get a great opportunity to kickstart your career. All you need to do is concentrate on your study and work hard during your college days.

For this college, the fee structure is 65k per year plus the hostel and the mess charges. I'll not prefer you to take admission in this college as this college is only for the means of ads and nothing else.
