If such an eventuality arises, keep some other idea in mind. It is just to establish in the interview that you have ideas and that you are not idle. Take up some essential skill and exhaust it in the gap period. Don't project an idea that you are not being useful.

Both branches have good placement opportunity . For good placement college is also matter where are studied. If you are getting admission in IITS , NITs and other top colleges then better placement chance you will get.

Dear Krishna,
Neither is the best choice for automobile engg., the best is Germany and cost is the least, however getting admission requires the help of a good and reputed consultant, suggest you use the help of one.If it is MS in Mechanical then i suggest Australia, however, the budget will be around Rs 40 lacs.

As far as cet is concerned, you can crack it and if you think you can crack it easily then definately you can get a seat for the same. please go through all the criterias of the college you want to join for the software engineering as it differs from colleges to colleges.
