BTech admission at Shivaji University's Department of Technology, Kolhapur, is subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility norms laid down by the AICTE and DTE norms for BTech admissions in Maharashtra. The general eligibility criteria as per the AICTE and DTE norms are as follows:

Department of Technology, Shivaji University provides effective placement support to BTech students. It also conducts training sessions to help students grab the best recruitment opportunitites. As of now, the course-specific report on BTech placements has not been released by the department. In 2023, 75 companies visited the campus and offered job to 150 students. The the highest and the average packages offered during the placement drive for all courses were INR 7.50 LPA and INR 3.50 LPA, respectively. The total cost of pursuing Naval Architecture courses combines the tuition fee and other miscellaneous charges. Including hostel fees, application fees, semester exam fees, the student welfare fund, lab fees, backlog fees (if applicable), caution money, etc. The average tuition fee for Naval Architecture programs is INR 2 Lacs to INR 10 lakh.

This completely depends on your individual interests and future career choices. Both options have their own upsides. If you want to explore the advanced-level aspects of marine vessels, ship design and building, and seakeeping, you can go ahead and apply for an M.Tech degree in Naval Architecture.
On the other side, if you're satisfied with your 4-year BTech in Naval Architecture journey, you can look for a job in the shipbuilding industry, naval forces, and offshore engineering firms, where recruiters are on the lookout for talented and skilled people and offer them decent salaries.
