Hello Anant Behera, I feel that you are confusing between cutoff list and closing list. Cut off is the ranking or the percentile or the marks which are declared by a particular Institute below which they do not accept applications from anyone. In most of the cases this is done to avoid flood of applications when the capacity to admit is very limited. However as a matter of policy or matter of rule no government institute or polytechnic announces any cut off what so ever below which students cannot apply. Be that as it may one needs to obtain a better score in 10th examination to get admission in any of the government polytechnics because there is a huge rush for admission since fees charged or very very less while academics is quite good.

Hello Namra Sheth, yes it is definitely possible to shift and get admission for BCA. There will be plenty of colleges in the place where you live and you just need to find out ask to which college is the best as per as the perceptions of students and which is well known for its academics as well as placements. But always remember getting into BCA is not the same as getting a job and that to a well paying job. You need to study well understand the subject for this only will ensure success for you in your future life and career. But award of caution here. Many states have restricted admissions to the domiciles of the state and also many states have prescribed their own entrance examination for admissions to engineering colleges. Over and about this deemed to be universities conduct their own entrance examination. I would advise you to have a look at this aspects also before you decide to take admission in a particular college or an institution. This is so because Uttar Pradesh government has now this banded the entrance test that it used to take every year for admitting students in Engineering colleges based in the state which has no been changed to JEE Mains. MC saksena institute has not prescribed any cut off marks or ranking for those who are seeking admission in there Engineering College. Hello Manjunathan, food technology is definitely a branch that is going to go great guns in near future as well as in the long run. Unfortunately you have not mention the name of any college about which you are interested in information about cutoffs. But after checking with lots of other engineering colleges offer in graduation in this branch of studies it is revealed that not a single college has prescribed any cut off for students to apply. What this means is that any student who has obtained minimum required marks and who has met the criteria of admission can apply respective of the ranking or the percentile that he has or she has received. This may be so because of the fact that not many students are seeking this branch of studies and hence the colleges are finding it prudent not to prescribe any cut-off for prospective students.
