Dear Cosmo,
Yes, BTech in CSE is really a good option as per the market standard. I have no idea about the B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Lateral Entry) at Heritage Institute of Technology but being alumni of LPU, I can share the details of the same programme with you at LPU.
Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. in which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. per annum by Microsoft.

Hello Sairabh, it's very nice to hear from you that you are interested in seeking admission in engineering in Madhya Pradesh. The admissions here are based on ranking in JEE Mains examination. Madhya Pradesh government does not take any other exams fir aspirants to engineering colleges in the state. Best wishes to you.

RANIBAI AGNIHOTRI INSTITUTE OF COMPUTER & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY is good. But if you are considering a career in management do check out Lexicon Management Institute of Leadership and Excellence. Their infrastructure is grand and amongst the best campuses I have ever seen. They provide students a minimum 9 months paid internship in the second year. This will increase your ROI to a great extent.

CSE branch has relatively high placement opportunities which turns to high salary packages relatively to other branches. But there isn't any scope of CSE in government sector. For government sector jobs, ECE should be preferred over CSE any day. CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. Most of students get placed in reputed companies with few opting for higher studies. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Professors are easily approachable in the college and are well experienced. They are very supportive of all technicalities. S

History has good amount of share in civil service exam. I suggest you to analyse the subject wise share of UPSE CSE. You can choose History as optional for your Mains. It is a good option for civil services if the subject is interesting for you. Also History is helpful in prelims. Best wishes.
