The jobs offered would not be of higher positions, but if you want to just get a job for experience, then you can go for it.

Totally dissatisfied due to below-average placements and a lack of knowledge among faculty.
Placements: Both hardware and software, compared to other branches in our branch placement, are a little higher.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. Wi-Fi connections are also good, but hostel food and rooms are mostly the worst, and fees increase yearly. Now it is Rs. 72,000. The library is good, and the college feels like a school.
Faculty: Except for two faculty members, most faculty members have very little knowledge about the subject. The 3rd and 4th semesters are tough. You may feel stressed and trapped. Please choose a good college. Faculty members target students for nothing.
Other: I mistakenly chose this college. Events are held from 8 am to 4 pm, with no enjoyment and no proper food provided. ECE is a better course, but you will be traumatised if you choose this branch in this college. Please choose the college wisely. This college is not value for money. Do not join this college. You may feel traumatised.

I enjoyed my time at PESITM with supportive teachers, good labs, and a friendly campus life.
Placements: In our CSE batch at PESITM Shivamogga, around 65-75% of students got placed. The highest package was around 8-10 LPA, the average package was about 4-5 LPA, and the lowest was around 2.5-3 LPA. Many students also got internships at companies like TCS, Infosys, and Edgevere. Common roles included Software Developer and Web Developer. I found the placement training sessions very helpful for interviews.
Infrastructure: The CSE branch labs are well-equipped with computers and software, classrooms are clean and spacious, and the library has enough books and digital resources. Hostel facilities are decent with regular cleaning, water, and security. The food court is average, but the pes refreshment offers better options. Sports facilities like the gym, cricket stadium, volleyball and indoor games help students stay active.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, knowledgeable, and explain concepts clearly. The curriculum is updated with practical labs and projects, which help students become industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately challenging, and most students pass if they study regularly and attend classes.
Other: I chose CSE because I am passionate about programming and software development. The best part of the course is the practical labs and projects that give hands-on experience. I wish there were more industry-oriented workshops and advanced tools in labs. The campus is peaceful, well-connected to the city, and offers extracurricular activities, scholarships, and fun events. I especially enjoyed the Pes fest with friends.

PESITM with pros and cons
Placements: 80 percent of students are placed in the course. The highest is 6 LPA, the lowest is 2 LPA, and the average package is 3 LPA. Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Betsol, and service-based companies hired students from Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are available for the course. Except Wi-Fi is not available for students, It is only used by college staff, which is a disadvantage for us. UPS is not available. Classrooms are good, labs had equipment, library is good. The quality of facilities in the hostel is good. Mess food is available, but it is not very good.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. This course curriculum is relevant. It makes students a little ready for industry. The exams were difficult in college, especially for M2, M3 subjects. Pass percentage is 60 percent. The subjects are difficult, and the projects are difficult to select, these are all main points.
Other: I chose this course because I is passionate about software and cutting-edge technologies. More industrial visits and real-world applications, how IT companies use it. Events, fests, campus crowd, scholarships, and activities are so good.

All about the PESITM Shimoga.
Placements: Placements are very good. The average package offered is 4LPA, the lowest package offered is 3LPA, and the highest package offered is 8LPA. It is average placement campus. The top roles offered are the manager post, and about 90% of students get placements. Top recruiting companies are SAB and Apple.
Infrastructure: A separate hostel for boys and also sharing rooms are available. Girls hostel is also nearer to it, and there is no matter of ragging and all. Wi-Fi is available on campus, and classrooms are also well maintained. A new building is under construction.
Faculty: Faculty is very good and experienced. They are also friendly with everyone. They teach us till everyone of us understands the concept. It makes students ready for the industry. Semester exams are mid level and the pass percentage is the same as other colleges.
Other: I chose Computer Science Engineering here, and I am currently studying in my first year. Events and fests are held here in numerous. A lot of enjoyment and perfect use of resources in every matter.

It has good core placements, industrial visits, sports, and campus activities.
Placements: 71% of students get placed in the year 2025. 92 students from the final year have already been placed in various companies with the highest package of 5 LPA. Among them, 71 students have been placed in core companies providing internships for 1 year with a stipend of Rs. 20,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Our college has good labs, a huge library, and a separate department library. Food is normal. There are sports grounds for games like cricket, football, and basketball. In the cricket ground, we organise VTU games. Every year, VTU organises many sports events, and in that, our college will get many prizes. Our college students also participate in hackathons in coding at all over Karnataka state engineering colleges.
Faculty: All teachers are M.Tech holders. Some faculty members are teaching well, and some are a little normal. We can pass exams after listening to class and studying during internals. One week before an exam is enough to pass exams. Taking my side as an example, I studied during internals and semester only, which is required to pass with a 7.5 CGPA. Our course does not make students industry-ready because it gives a basic idea about it. But we have to gain more knowledge and do more projects, gain experience, and take related courses outside to get hands-on experience.
Other: I am from the 2022 batch and passing year 2026. I am from the B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering course. I chose this course to get into the core company. ECE is about both hardware and software fields. It gives in-depth knowledge of the main subject. Fest named Prerana is organised, which is one of the best fests, and it conducts sports and other competitions with prize distribution. A DJ night is also organised. It also conducts workshops.

A college with very good education, but very few events.
Placements: We are the 2nd batch of our course in our college, so no one has passed out from our batch yet, but our branch HOD has signed a document with a company that assures that everyone from our batch will get an internship. The company comes every semester to train us about the job or internship they are going to offer us in the future.
Infrastructure: We have very good and supportive faculty in our branch. They help us out in every situation possible. Our hostel facilities are also very good. They provide us with hygienic food and good rooms. There are separate hostels for girls and boys. Every floor in a hostel is provided with a warden to take care of the needs of students.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. They are very knowledgeable and have the best teaching techniques. The course curriculum is relevant. They train us to face every situation possible. Semester exams are not so difficult; they can be easily scored if we listen to the classes properly with attention. We have to make our notes to gain a higher score.
Other: I choose this course because it's a new course and has many opportunities It is the combination of CS and electrical engineering You can learn both the branch's combination Our college doesn't organisation many programs or events Every odd semester there will be a ethnic day organisation And every even semester there will be a fest of 2 or 3 days organized I would prefer more even to be organized in college So that students can keep connectivity and show out there talent.

If you're aiming to join PESITM (Shimoga) through COMEDK, unfortunately there are no fee concessions tied to COMEDK rank. The merit-based fee waivers at PESITM are exclusively for KCET admissions.
