The placement record is very strong at this college, according to me, and about 80 to 85 percent of students are put in large companies such as Google Infosys, Microsoft, Amazon, etc. We have an active career support team office that is exclusively made available to serve our carriers better. They also carry big companies who bid 6 to 7 Lacs per year, which can go up to 15 Lacs per year, to do the internship for the final placement. The school's technology is really strong and the whole college is provided by Google's full Wi-Fi and live lab. This college is the best in this selection, from my point of view. Here, in nature, the faculty members are also very strong and the greatest knowledge they have. They always encourage us to enhance you, and here study materials are provided with a fully online mode, which is very good to access anywhere you want at any time. And the greatest thing I like is 75% attendance is obligatory if you don't. The education standards match the best in the industry. Here students are allowed to be a part of every important activity, for eg there is a Board of Studies which studies and approves/improves the course content and syllabus this is like any other university, but in CU students are a part of BOS this is unlike any other university. Students opinion is also included in upgradation of their course content! Infact, this year for the CAB (Corporate Advisory Board) Meeting, for the first time, students handled 80% of all the activities. Chandigarh University is completely a student centric university. Student teams are a part of several important decision making sessions and interact with their Club/committee faculty co-coordinators, Dean Students Welfare, HOD and directors on a regular basis. Infact, student representatives give a formal feedback to the Honble Chancellor of the university directly. This is a level of freedom and transparency which is unique to Chandigarh University only. This is simply because the student comes first student is above all circumstances or eventualities. Many of us are not accustomed to this frankness and inclusiveness at our homes also you have to be here on the campus to be able to feel the sense of ownership. Usually websites of educational institutes post the square footage of an institute, the number of buildings, the metalled roads, the number of classrooms and computers all this and much more already exists on our CU website.

Placements opportunities: Being an average student I have always been thorough with my academic studies. My scores have never reached above 75 percent which does not worry me and neither does my placement teacher head at CU. Being with the university every year my seniors are placed with good packages that give a great motivation to me and my batchmates.

1. Location: Chandigarh University is not located in Chandigarh as it name suggests and it is very common to be confused between PU and CU. CU is located in greater Mohali area towards Chandigarh- Ludhiana highway. It is about 45 mins away from main Chandigarh. One can easily get a bus or a cab from kharar which is the nearest bus stand 15 mins away from Uni in an auto. Nearest market is Kharar market where you can get almost all the basic necessities.
2. Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great of Chandigarh University. Campus is made in 200 acres. It has around 18 academic blocks including south campus. Food courts and small shops for refreshment is available around every academic block with a stationary shop . Basketball court and sports complex is situated for sports enthusiasts.
3. Faculty & course curriculum: Most of the faculty for engineering and sciences are PHD holders with industrial experience. Faculties are very helping and guide students well. Talking about course curriculum, it is followed by UGC guidelines and is same as in other institutions. They do provide Mandatory non graded subjects for overall development of a student. Along this there are a huge variety of open electives to choose from. Also depending upon the duration of course they segregate into students who want placements and those who do not want basically who go for higher education. for higher education exams they provide guidance and extra classes in evening.
