LPU offers more than 200+ programmes in various disciplines. B.tech is also offered in LPU in various streams. As an LPU alumni i would suggest, that you should go for LPU to pursue your B.tech degree through lateral entry. So, you can plan to join LPU for this programme. Admission in any programme depends on the Eligibility criteria to be qualified for that programme. It also depends on the performance in last qualification and Entrance test if applicable. B. Tech. Hello Yogesh, spot round or mop-up round is kept to fill up vacant seats in mostly first come first serve" basis. Hence which seats are available becomes clear only after all normal rounds are exhausted and students' wishes fulfilled as per the order of merit. But even at this stage, it was observed that seats in some branches were lying vacant. To fill these and also to give the last opportunity to students, this round was devised. Hence information about vacant seats is displayed only after the last round but many a time it springs surprises too. Best wishes to you.

It would be better if you join a college for pursuing B.Tech as many companies don't consider students from open university or distance education.

The start of the online registration should take place in the 2nd or 3rd week of December 2020 (It may be delayed as the WBJEE counselling sessions are completed in October and these batches have still not been integrated into the college). I clearly don't remember the site, but it is most probably wbjeeb. Nic. In where you can register for WBJEE and make a payment of Rs.500. You would also need to upload your passport size photograph and signature. Please go through the eligibility and documents required carefully before filling up the form. Best of Luck!

Hello Yakshitha, if I may say so your ranking at about 90000 is a bit on the lower side. With this ranking I am afraid, your chances of getting the branch of CSE are quite minimal. But then process of admission is known to throw surprises all the time. Hence do not loose hope till the last round. To help you in guessing I am attaching a link that can predict the branch and the college that you can get based on your ranking in this examination.
