Your ranking in JEE Mains is at about 55000. The total number of seats is at around 50,000, out of these almost 50% are under one of the other reserved category. That leaves only about 25,000 seeds for general category candidates. So you can see for yourself as to where you stand. Of course your ranking also includes many students who may be having some category or the other and placed above you. Hence there is still a possibility for you to get admission. Environmental Science & Engineering (ES) and Humanities and Social Sciences (XH) have been added as new papers, increasing the total of GATE 2021 subjects to 27 from 25. With the introduction of these subjects, students with a background in humanities can also apply for the exam. GATE 2021 syllabus has been released at the official website and authorities have revised the syllabus of all the subjects. GATE 2021 syllabus includes General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and the topics from the subject opted by the test takers. The weightage of all the sections will be different. General Aptitude syllabus will remain common for all the 27 subjects. AR, CY, EY, GG, M.A. PH, ST, XH, and XL do not have the Engineering Mathematics section as a part of the syllabus. Syllabus

Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training is a private institute under Maharashtra Academy of Engineering Education and Research (MAEER). The institute is located in Pune and was established in 2001. MANET is approved by the Directorate General of Shipping (DG Shipping), Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. MANET Pune offers B.Tech. Degree course in Marine Engineering and B.Sc. Degree course in Nautical Science. It also offers B.Tech Lateral entry admission to the candidates. Candidates applying for B.Tech and B.Sc. Courses have to fill and submit the form the official website of the institute and send it to the MANET. To apply for the B.Tech and B.Sc. Degree course, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with 60% marks in aggregate. Candidates must have at least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII. Candidates applying for B.Sc. Course in Nautical Science course must have 6/6 vision in both eyes without spectacles and should not be colour blind. Admission to B.Tech and B.Sc. Is done on the basis of MANET CET, merit in the qualifying examination and medical test. For B.Tech Lateral Entry, candidates must pass in Diploma in relevant discipline with an aggregate of 55% marks. Admission to B.Tech Lateral entry will be done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination followed by medical test.
