Hello Savi, Your percentile is pretty low for getting admission in any NIT. Your percentile indicates that there are 37% students who have scored about you. Approximately 10 Lacs students appeared while there are only about 50000 seats so you can imagine where do you find yourself. In addition, you have not mention as to which state you belong to. The directorate of technical education of every state has different methods of giving admission. You will find all the details in such a website of your state. Please download and study in detail. Best wishes to you.

Hello Subhrajit you have posted a very interesting query. Unfortunately the answer is not available, but knowing how the software are written, I am sure the writers of the software for counselling would have thought of this contingency and provided for default choice to be selected if student does not give any choice. But to get an authentic answer I suggest you write to the grievance redressal mechanism which is available under the counselling. Best wishes to you.

Hello Naeem, The admissions in NIT are based on the ranking that will be published by national testing agency after completion and compilation of results for the second set of JEE Mains that is underway at the moment. But frankly speaking, getting CSE looks difficult to me, since 7% of 10 Lacs students have scored better than you. So you can calculate yourself as to how many students are ahead of you and what are your chances of getting the branch that is the topmost choice of every student. However wait till the rankings are published and then you can check with the college predictors to give you an idea. Best wishes to you.

Hello Om, Admissions in different NIT as well as the eligibility to appear for JEE Advanced will be dependent on the merit list declared by NTA. National testing agency will declare the ranking based on the best of two principle, meaning those students who have appeared for the two sets of JEE Mains exam, the best of the two scores will be taken into account for determining the ranking. So you should wait for the final ranking that will be published by NTA. Before thinking of admission in any particular institute. Merely percentile is of no help as the ranking which decides admission. Best wishes to you.
