I will suggest to apply for some other good private colleges like Amity University, Sharda University, Lovely Professional University, state private colleges of West Bengal, Karnataka, Maharashtra, etc. at the time of counselling.

Hey Shruti, yes this is a new branch and there are no official details about the number of seats. I would suggest you keep a check on your emails where VIT would send you detailed information regarding the number of seats and categories.

Hello Govind, you have a good cutoff score but it is difficult to get CSE at the CEG campus of Anna University. If you belong to SC, ST, etc. Then there are some chances but if you belong to general category or BC, then you cannot get it.

As you have scored 76.2% in class 12th and your JEE Mains rank is 298000. So, getting a seat in this NIT in first round is difficult. If you have patience, then you should go till the last round of the counselling. You might get a seat in last round. At the same time apply for some other colleges also.

As you have qualified to write JEE Advanced you can give it a try. It is not that only if you have a good coaching you should apply. You can self prepare and most importantly, if you are strong in basics, you can perform better. If you don't get a seat at IITs, then it is not an issue as you have got some good experience. And what if you clear the exam and get into an ITT? Be confident and give it a shot.

As your JEE Mains score is 73.58 percentile and you have very good marks in board also. So, you are eligible to take admission in dy patil akurdi. But CSE branch will not be available with this score. I will suggest you to go for some other branches like IT, electronics engineering, electrical, civil. Best of luck.

Nearly every engineering college have computer science Engineering as a branch in their college. It's on your marks in 12th or JEE, which college you will get.
