Founded in 1991, EURECOM is a Graduate School and Research Centre in Digital Science located in the Sophia Antipolis technology park and is recognised as the second best institution in France by subject Telecommunication Engineering. It is home to 300+ international students, which contributes close to 70% in their total student population.

EURECOM is a popular Graduate School and Research Centre in Digital Science it's acceptance rate is nearly 28%. This figure indicates that on an average, only 28 out of every 100 applicants manage to secure admission in the institution. Hence, this makes EURECOM a very competitive university to get in. Therefore, students must not show any laxity and must fulfill all the admission, documents and English proficiency language requirements in order to get into EURECOM.

EURECOM has a vibrant, eco-friendly campus. Located on the French Riviera, EURECOM offers students diving, sailing, beach parties, skiing week-ends, rafting in the Verdon Gorges, and the simple pleasure of living in a place that enjoys 300 days of sun a year, only a two-hour flight away from Europe’s the largest capitals. The school does not provide on-campus housing facilities to their students. Yes, some EURECOM courses are accredited by recognised bodies:

  • EURECOM’s Master degrees are internationally recognised as they are nationally accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and can give access to further PhD Studies. Also, these degrees are 3IA certified. The Master in Digital Security has been granted the SecNumedu certification by the National Cybersecurity Agency of France (ANSSI).

In order to study at EURECOM, all Indian students require a visa before moving in for their studies. They must proceed with the CEF
procedure to obtain a visa. The steps to apply are listed below:

  • Create an online account;
  • Choose the option “I’m already enrolled”
  • Choose EURECOM in the list of schools and the corresponding degree; and then
  • You will have an interview with a Campus France‘s officer

EURECOM has secured the rank #451-500 in QS World University Ranking by Subject in 2023 edition. According to ARWU Shanghai Global Ranking in 2021 and 2022, EURECOM is ranked among the world’s top universities in Telecommunication Engineering and the second best institution in France by subject for the course mentioned. EURECOM has a three-point eligibility criteria for both the scholarships offered to the students.

Carnot TSN Excellence Scholarship Program:

1) Candidate must be holding a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Engineering, etc.) from a recognised top university :

  • must appear in one of the international ranking list: THE,  QS,  ARWU
  • or in Top 50 Chinese Universities according to ARWU, Top 50 Indian engineering colleges or universities  (NIRF India)

EURECOM offers a few scholarships for native as well as overseas students, in order to help the outstanding and highly motivated students by reducing a significant portion of their tuition fee. There are two major scholarships offered by EURECOM, namely;

Carnot TSN Excellence Scholarship Program:

Exclusively available to students pursuing any master's degree

Awards: Up to 15 EXCELLENCE scholarships of 5,000 euros

6G Excellence Scholarship Program:

Exclusively available to students pursuing Master of Science in Intelligent Communication Systems

Awards: Up to two 6G Excellence scholarships with a monetary value of 5,000 euros

Yes, all the courses taught at EURECOM are open to exchange students (both technical and non-technical courses) and the language of teaching is English. Exchange students can also take foreign language courses and they are free to choose any courses they want in accordance with the regulations of their home university.

In order to pursue a course at EURECOM as an exchange student, applicants must be officially nominated by their home university and then fill the online application. They must also upload the documents listed below:
