The Faculty of Law at Aligarh Muslim Unniversity offers BA LLB (Hons), LLM, PG Diploma and PhD in Law stream. For LLM and BA LLB you have to qualify AMU Entrance Exam and for PG Diploma you have to qualify CLAT.
According to the latest statement given by the members of AMU specifies that there is no reservation based on the caste or religion rather we reserve 50% of the seats to the internal students and remaining 50% seats are for external students. There are a total of 240 seats available for the BA LLB programme at AMU, which consists of 120 seats at AMU, Aligarh, 60 seats at Malappuram Center and 60 seats at Murshidabad Center.

Faculty of Law AMU offers 240 seats in the BA LLB program. 120 of these seats are available in AMU Aligarh, and the remaining seats are available in the AMU centers at Malappuram and Murshidabad.You can't join the Faculty of Law at Aligarh Muslim University as a student directly.
Admissions are based on merit and entrance which can be done in three ways, including entrance test conducted by the Aligarh Muslim University, entrance test conducted by separate departments and admission based on marks in the last qualifying examination.

Both are good institutions of learning.
But it can be better to study at National law University, Delhi. Faculty of law, AMU can be taken as a second option. AMU is good in teaching but it is like Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) which is not comparable with IITs.
Studying at NLU has many relative advantages than studying at AMU. It will give you wide exposure to the world if ideas and learning and also facilitate you in learning other things. You can also easily participate and observe or attend courts at Delhi high court and the Supreme court of India
