Yes, the Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University offers a five-year BA LLB course. The mode of study is full-time—candidates seeking admission need to take the AMU entrance exam. Before applying for the exam, aspirants must check the eligibility requirements—students who have passed Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate. The applications are accepted in online mode.

The 2022 placement drive concluded with 83% of BA LLB and 26% of LLM students placed. Earlier, 82% of BA LLB and 20% of LLM students were placed during 2021 placements. Over the past three years (2020 to 2022), the placement rate for BA LLB and LLM indicates an improving trend. The Faculty of Law, AMU is located in Uttar Pradesh India. It offers courses like BA LLB (Bachelor's in Arts with Bachelors in Law) and LLM Programme (Master of Laws). If we assess the costs to be incured for studying this courses; it is found that the total fees for the 5-year BALLB Programme at AMU is INR 1,01,6,720 and for the 2-year LLM Programme is INR 4.1 lakhs, The fees amount only includes the course fees and not the fess  need to be paid at the time of admission neither the hostel fees. The application fee for the 2023 BALLB programme is INR 700 without late fees and INR 1000 with late fees. The registration fee for the 2023 BALLB programme is INR 900, with an additional INR 300 late fee. So it can be inferred that the faculty of Law, AMU is pretty costly for students belonging from middle-class families.

The total number of seats available for the integrated programme is 120. Candidates are admitted as per sanctioned seat intake and score in the AMU entrance exam. The university has seat reservations for people with disability as well. It must be noted that the mentioned seat intake is as per the official website/sanctioning body. Faculty of Law AMU offers 240 seats in the BA LLB program. 120 of these seats are available in AMU Aligarh, and the remaining seats are available in the AMU centers at Malappuram and Murshidabad.You can't join the Faculty of Law at Aligarh Muslim University as a student directly.

Admissions are based on merit and entrance which can be done in three ways, including entrance test conducted by the Aligarh Muslim University, entrance test conducted by separate departments and admission based on marks in the last qualifying examination.

Here are some eligibility criteria for admissions for various courses:

1) FOR BA LLB-Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate or Bridge Course (Senior Secondary School Certificate) from AMU with 50% aggregate.

The age limit should not be more than 22 years in the year of admission.

2) FOR LLM-Candidate must have passed LLB/ BA LLB or an examination recognised by the university as its equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate.

The candidate should not be more than 27 years in the year of admission.

Both are good institutions of learning.

But it can be better to study at National law University, Delhi. Faculty of law, AMU can be taken as a second option. AMU is good in teaching but it is like Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) which is not comparable with IITs.

Studying at NLU has many relative advantages than studying at AMU. It will give you wide exposure to the world if ideas and learning and also facilitate you in learning other things. You can also easily participate and observe or attend courts at Delhi high court and the Supreme court of India

During 2022 placements, 181 out of 219 BA LLB students were placed. Earlier, 179 out of 219 students were placed during 2021 placements. For LLM, 10 out of 35 were placed during 2022 placements. In 2021, 7 out of 35 LLM students were placed. Around 20% of students at Aligarh Muslim University's Faculty of Law opt for the LL.M. programme after finishing their B.A. LL.B. studies.
