You can do B.Sc in Film Making and TV Production or B. Design in Film and TV Production and eligibility is that you should have passed 10+2 (with English) or equivalent with a minimum of 50%-60% aggregate marks, subject to valid score in the test for doing UG course. I am enlisting best film schools. You can choose a college based on its location, fee structure, college type, accreditation, etc.

Mass Communication builds a foundation for becoming a director. It teaches you camera, editing, script writing etc. Which are essential for a director to know. Once you complete your graduation, you can enroll yourself in a specialised course for film direction.

The degree of Bachelors in Mass Media aka mass communication or journalism and mass communication gives a foundation to the skill sets and knowledge to enter the media careers. There are specialisations offered through B.Sc and other technical degrees in the domain of mass media only where you may get more of direction and film-making learning.
However, I am on one to say that the degree of BMM is less capable of taking you to accomplish your dream of becoming a film director.

Film Direction in India is not at all qualification or degree based work anymore. There have been many examples where the degree wasn't there, but the degree of the direction was par excellent.
