If you personally have interest in finance then you should definitely go for it. We have 1-2 mechanical engineering students in our class with core work-experience and approximately half of the class has engineering background.

MBA in finance will give you a slight edge over others while grabbing initial concepts. While doing in marketing you will not get any such advantage. Choosing specialization should depend on your interest rather than expertise, because you can gain expertise with time, but your interest remains for long term.

There are specialised MBA program available for the students.
MBA general
MBA finance
MBA research and development
MBA human resource and
MBA marketing.
These are the few MBA courses. For more, you can check the site www.amity.edu .
If you opt for MBA general in the first year, you have to study all the subjects let it be marketing and finance and in the second year, you have to choose specialization. But if you opt for MBA finance, you will study only finance subjects from first year only.
