Hi,
You have a very nice score in UG, but with CMAT score there is very less chance of getting admission in good B-school. If you can, you should try for another attempt, with your academic score of 80% you should aim for 90% in CMAT. As of choosing specialization, you should go for your interest. Every field gives you immense opportunity but you will enjoy the work in which you are interested. Take a long term view and decide.

Yes, definitely, IBS is well known for its syllabus in finance. If you compare the syllabus of IBS in first year and even for second year finance specialization, it is very much similar to CFA intermediate and final level. Even many foreign Institutional Investors like JP Morgan Chase, Capgemini, Bank of America - Myrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley visits IBS for final placements. Other good finance companies which visits IBS are Deloitte, Crisil, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI securities for multiple profiles, Kotak securities, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Transparent Value, Seimens, and lot more.
